Dear Young Esteemed Artist and Parents,

We extend a heartfelt invitation to budding young artists to participate in the 2025 Art Nova Award. This is more than just a competition; it’s a unique opportunity for young talents to gain recognition and showcase their artistic expressions in a professionally curated public exhibition at the esteemed Hong Kong Arts Centre.

Imagine your artwork displayed in a renowned gallery, where your personal ideas, brought to life through the vibrant language of color, can be admired by a wider audience. Artwork Submission Guidelines

Size: 20 x 30 cm to 40 x 50 cm
Originality: All submitted works must be original creations by the young artist. Any copyright-infringing works will be immediately disqualified, and registration fees will not be refunded.
Mediums:  Accepted mediums include acrylic, oil, watercolor, sketching, pastel, color pencils, Chinese ink, and mixed media on canvas or paper.
Display-Ready Condition: Artworks must be professionally mounted (if applicable to the medium) and ready to hang or display appropriately. For works on paper, consider mounting on a sturdy backing board.
Completion Date: Only artworks created between 2024 and 2025 are eligible.
Quantity: Each participant may submit only one artwork.

Participation Fee

This fee contributes to the various costs associated with organizing a high-quality exhibition, including venue rental, professional installation, marketing and promotion, administrative support, and invigilation.

Judging Criteria

All artworks will be reviewed by a panel of distinguished artists and educators from diverse artistic backgrounds around the world. The official judging panel will be announced on our website and social media channels in September 2025.

Creativity and Originality: 25%

Storytelling Ability and Interpretation: 20%
