1. Canvas Policy

  • 1.1 Customers are entitled to one standard canvas not exceeding 60x80cm in size upon purchased of group lesson as below:
    • every 4 lessons in Group Adult Lesson
    • every 2 lessons in Group Kid Lesson
    • every 4 hours in Private Lesson
    • One canvas in 1-Day Day Pass
    • Three canvases in 5-Day Day Pass
  • Additional canvases may be purchased during painting sessions at the retail price listed in our shop.
  • 1.2 Canvases included in any package must be used within the studio premises and are non-redeemable post package expiration or after all lessons are utilized.
  • 1.3 Canvases from expired packages cannot be redeemed or returned.

2. Painting Storage Service

  • 2.1 Both new and existing Group Lesson package customers are eligible for our painting storage service under the following conditions:
    • During package validity: Free storage for 1 piece; Black/Gold/Silver customers: 2 pieces free. Each additional piece will incur a charge of HK$5/day.
    • Post-expiry (30-90 days): HK$5/day per piece.
    • Post-expiry (91-180 days): Artworks will be unstretched and charged at HK$5/day.
    • Beyond 180 days: Artworks are considered abandoned and Studio 83 reserves the right to dispose of them without prior notice.
  • 2.2 For repaint, DIY, trial, or single lesson customers, the following storage terms apply:
    • 1-7 days post-visit: 1 piece stored for free.
    • 8-30 days post-visit: HK$5/day per piece.
    • 31-60 days post-visit: Artworks will be unstretched and charged at HK$5/day.
    • Beyond 60 days: Artworks are considered abandoned and Studio 83 reserves the right to dispose of them without prior notice.
  • 2.3 Storage fees are payable upon collection of the artwork.
  • 2.4 Studio 83 endeavors to protect stored paintings, but does not guarantee against loss or damage. Studio 83 will not be held liable for any damage or loss that may occur.

3. Package Validity

  • 3.1 All packages must be used within the stated validity period. Expired packages are non-redeemable.
  • 3.2 The validity period begins from the date of purchase.
  • 3.3 Extensions to the validity period are available for purchase prior to the expiry date of the existing package at the following rates: 1 month = HK$200, 2 months = HK$300, 3 months = HK$500, 6 months = HK$800 per package.

4. Session Arrangements

  • 4.1 Packages are non-transferable and must be used by the purchaser only.
  • 4.2 Advance booking is required for all sessions. Failure to cancel a reserved session at least 24 hours in advance will result in the session being deducted from the package.
  • 4.3 Studio 83 reserves the right to change art consultants without prior notice.
  • 4.4 A repaint service is available outside regular course schedules at a charge of HK$100 per hour.

5. Refunds

  • 5.1 Purchased packages/products are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • 5.2 No refunds will be provided due to changes in class schedules or art consultants.
  • 5.3 Refund requests must be submitted before the expiry of the package, according to the refund terms outlined below, with the original purchase receipt, credit card receipt, and credit card presented at our shop.
  • 5.4 A 10% administrative fee applies to refunds on non-expired packages requested within 7 days of purchase.
  • 5.5 Refunds on credit card payments will have a 3% service charge deducted.
  • 5.6 If a package has been started, i.e., the first lesson has been used, 50% of the package price will be refunded after deducting for the session already attended.
  • 5.7 No refunds will be issued for expired packages.
  • 5.8 In case of any disputes, Studio 83’s decision is final.

6. Copyright and Media Use

  • 6.1 Studio 83 does not assume responsibility for any copyright infringement claims arising from artworks created in the studio. Artists retain copyright of their artworks but must ensure their work does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.
  • 6.2 Studio 83 may photograph artworks and post these images on social media or use them in promotions without explicit permission from the customer. If customers do not wish for their work to be used, they must notify Studio 83 in writing in advance. Customers may also request in writing the removal of specific social media posts featuring their work.

7. Data Privacy and Usage

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong, Studio 83 is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. The personal data provided by customers may be used for:

  • Communication with customers
  • Promotion of new programs, services, and offers
  • Cross-promotion with third parties

7.1 Access and Correction of Personal Data:

Customers have the right to access and correct their personal data held by Studio 83. To make a request for data access or correction, customers must submit a written request to the following address:

7.2 Opt-Out from Promotional Materials:

Customers who wish to opt-out from receiving promotional materials or restrict the use of their personal data for cross-promotion purposes can do so by informing Studio 83 in writing. Such requests can be sent to the above address.

7.3 Important Notes:

  1. Data access requests will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance. Studio 83 may charge a reasonable fee for processing such requests.
  2. Studio 83 will respond to data correction requests within the time frame stipulated by the Ordinance and will inform the customer of the action taken.
  3. If Studio 83 refuses to comply with a data access or correction request, the customer will be informed of the reasons for refusal and the mechanisms available for lodging a complaint.

By providing their personal data to Studio 83, customers consent to the above usage of their data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.

8. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

  • 8.1 Studio 83 reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the customer to review these Terms and Conditions periodically for any changes. Continued use of Studio 83’s services after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
  • 8.2 In the event of any discrepancy between the English version and any other language version of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail and be deemed as the definitive version.
